League Records Broken!

Three new League records were set in the match hosted by Marlborough Athletics at Swindon on 30th June 2024:

Lucy Bull (Swindon Harriers) threw the under-15 girls javelin 42.12m. The previous best was 38.53m by Hannah Lewington, also for Swindon and at Swindon. Hannah still holds the under-13 girls record.

Tobi Adeniran of Basingstoke Mid-Hants had only set a new best for the under-13 boys shot four weeks earlier, but this time he improved it from 10.94m to an enormous 12.43m. He was spurred on by Jacob Pender of Swindon Harriers, whose 11.02m also beat the previous best.

The Swindon Harriers under-13 boys quartet of Evan Western, Kurtis Osei-Ofosu, Lewis Belgrave and Jayden Messiah clocked 53.2s for the 4x100m relay. The previous record was 53.7s by Slough Juniors on the old Woking track in 2018.
